Wednesday, June 24.  Nativity of St. John the Baptist.  Різдво чесного славного Пророка, Предтечі і Хрестителя Господнього Іоана.    Matins and Akathist, 7 a.m. 

Saturday, June 27.  Feast of the New Martyrs of Ukraine, our Patron Saints.  Festal Moleben to the New Martyrs followed by varenyky dinner, 5 p.m.   At the conclusion of the Moleben, Vespers for Sunday, the Fourth Sunday after Pentecost, All Saints of Kyivan-Rus, Всіх Святих, що на Русі-Україні просіяли.  4-та після П’ятидесятниці.

Monday, June 29th.  Holy and All-Praised Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul.  Славних і всехвальних Апостолів Петра і Павла.   Festal Matins and Hours,  7 a.m.  Typika and Akathist, 6 p.m.  (Note:  This is a day of obligation for Ukrainian Greek Catholics according to our Synod).

Sixth Week of the Great Fast

  Wondrous is the benevolence of the Lord for us; forseeing the future as though it were already present, He set before us the parable of Lazarus and the wicked rich man.  Considering the end of each of them, let us avoid the selfishness and hard-heartedness of the latter and imitate the strength and endurance of the former, so that we may cry out with him in the bosom of Abraham: O Lord and just Judge, glory to You!  (Vespers of the Fifth Sunday Evening of the Great Fast)

Sunday, 5 April 2009.  Entry of Our Lord Jesus Christ into Jerusalem (Palm Sunday).    Matins followed by Hours and Typica 10 a.m. 

Fifth Week of the Great Fast

  Having passed half the distance of this holy Fast, let us strive, rejoicing with steadfastness, to its end.  Let us anoint ourselves with the oil of charity, that we may be worthy to adore the noble Passion of Christ our God, and attain His most honored and holy Resurrection!  (Vespers of the Fourth Sunday Evening of the Great Fast)

Friday, 27 March 2009.   Vespers and Presanctified followed by the singing of the Akathist Canon and Hymn to the Mother of God at 6 p.m.  Vigil of Akathistos Saturday. 

Saturday, 28 March 2009.  Ninth Hour and Great Vespers, 5 p.m.  

Sunday, 29 March 2009.  Fifth Sunday of the Great Fast, St. Mary of Egypt.  Hours and Typica 10 a.m.  Akafyst to the Life-giving Passion of the Savior immediately following.

Third Week of the Great Fast
